Medical Assisting Program has Re-accreditation Visit

The Medical Assisting program at Winter Park Tech had their re-accreditation visit from the Certification Review Board (CRB) of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) on February 7 and 8, 2008.

Programs that obtain accreditation show that their curriculum is in line with other programs throughout the country. Accreditation allows graduates of the Medical Assisting program at Winter Park Tech to sit for the national exam to become Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) which is one of the employer-preferred credentials available in the medical assisting field.

The medical assisting ‘team’ learned a lot from the visit and welcomed the opportunity to critically analyze the entire program and to make changes to ensure that graduates get the best possible education in the medical assisting field.
