Winter Park
Tech (WPT) is recognized in Central Florida as a leading
provider of career and technical education. WPT provides
a “High-Tech, High Touch” educational environment,
state-of-the-art equipment and an outstanding instructional
staff where students develop exceptional technical and
soft skills.
Technical training programs focus around the career
clusters. Currently, 23 career certificate
programs are offered to adults and high school students.
There is also a continuous schedule of academic courses
for adult high school credit, GED preparation, academic
remediation, adult basic education, and Adult English
Literacy/ESOL.
Over 300 business and industry leaders support our work
and serve with us to ensure that our programs are industry
standard and our teachers are industry trained. We also
offer short term classes and customized training to meet
the specific needs of business in the areas of computer
and health related courses.
Locations
Winter Park Tech is located in northeast Orange County.
Main access highways are Highway 17-92, Lee Road and
Interstate 4. The campus is located at the corner of
Webster Avenue and Denning Drive, one block east of
Highway 17-92 and two miles from the Winter Park business
district. The entrance to the campus faces the north
side of Winter Park Village.
The Avalon Campus is located in Main access highways are
Alafaya Trail (SR-434) and Colonial Drive (SR-50). Take
SR 50 East (Colonial Dr.) past the 408 (East/West Expressway).
Turn right on Avalon Park Blvd.The Avalon Campus will be
approximately 3 miles on the right, just across the street
from Timber Creek High School.
The campus is located at the corner of South Crown Hill
Blvd. and Avalon Park Blvd.
