Medical Assisting
What you will learn:
  • Administrative skills: appointment scheduling, billing, telephone skills, insurance, transcription, and computer applications for medical offices
  • On campus lab available Monday - Friday
  • Lab procedures
  • All competencies to pass the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam



  • The Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) on recommendation of the medical assisting education review board(MAERB)

  • High School diploma or GED not required for admission
  • Background check required for externship
  • Orientation is held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month in Room 28 at 2:30 pm
