Ready-Set-Go
5.11.06
For the past two months students at the four technical centers participated
in the Ready, Set, Go! Competition.
What is Ready, Set, Go!? Well, it is a game show that Kelley Ferranti, the
District Job Developer, spearheaded. It was the first of its kind for the Tech
Centers and the game show was a hit. Contestants were tested on their interview
skills and job etiquette, with an opportunity to win fabulous prizes. The game
show was divided into five rounds, each judged by professionals in specific
categories.
The event was an amazing opportunity for the students. Out of the six finalists,
three were from our Winter Park Tech campus. We would like to congratulate
Mae Whitmore, Computer Programming; Annette Lopez, Legal Administrative Specialist,
second place winner; and Neela Maihudin, Digital Design, first place winner.
We are very proud of our Ready, Set, Go contestants and wish them continued
success.
The Ready, Set, Go, game show was videotaped, so be sure to check your local
listings. |
