The Avalon Campus, a branch campus of Winter Park Tech, was opened in 2007—the first postsecondary technical center campus opened in Orange County in almost 30 years!

The state-of-the-art facility currently offers career training programs in: Accounting Operations, Facials Specialty, Massage Therapy, Nails Specialty, Patient Care Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy, Web Design and Web Programming Services. In addition, we offer GED and ESOL classes and a wide array of computer and health continuing education classes. Not only does Winter Park Tech – Avalon Campus serve adults and businesses in east Orlando and surrounding areas, we also offer dual enrollment opportunities in our  career training programs for many Orange County high schools.

With the development of “Medical City” in east Orlando, which includes UCF medical school, Burnham Institute for Medical Research, VA Hospital, Nemours Children’s Hospital, M. D. Anderson Center and others, and  the rapid growth of east Orlando communities, our programs at the Avalon Campus are preparing students to meet the communities’ employment needs. Coming in 2011 – a Biotechnology Academy at the Avalon Campus!
